Internal Server Error occurs when trying to send reset password email

Description

During exploratory tests, I noticed that I can't send an email with the reset password for the newly created user. The same error occurs when I want to reset the password using the "Forgot Password" option on the login page or if I want to change a password in the user's profile.

Reproduction steps:

  1. Log in as an administrator.

  2. Go to Administration > Users.

  3. Click "Add User", fill in all fields and click "Create User".

  4. Select "Send Reset Password email" and click "Create Password".

  1. Go to Administration > Users.

  2. Click the "Reset Password" button next to any user.

  3. Select "Send Reset Password email" and click "Reset Password".

  1. Go to the login page.

  2. Click the "Forgot password?", enter email address of one of the users and click "Reset Password".

  1. Log in as an administrator.

  2. Go to the Administrator profile and click the "Change Password".

  3. Select "Send Reset Password email" and click the "Reset Password" button.

Result:

  • "Internal Server Error" appears.

Expected result:

  • It should be possible to send an email to reset the password.
