Goals/Scope

Background

mFlow is a mobile based supply chain management system used to:

  • Request and track orders
  • Issue & receive products
  • Manage stock levels

It’s currently used in Ethiopia at District and Zonal level Cold Rooms to manage their vaccine products that are delivered to them from PFSA Hubs.

mFlow VRF Submission (Facility to District)

Health facilities that provide vaccination are required to submit VRF (Vaccine Request Form) monthly or weekly (according to their refill program) to their supplying District. The District typically enters the data from the VRF into mFlow and attaches the request paper to the health facility file. While facilities submit a request for their next refill period, they will also report their current SOH.

mFlow starts its functionality at the District level.

 Health Facility VRF Components:

  • cSOH (Current SOH)
  • Requested quantity for the next refill Period

EPIC:  mFlow VRF Processing / Issue (District to Facility)

Assumptions

  • All users are expected to know how to use smart phones and basic Internet tools.

As a District EPI Focal person, I will finalize the transaction on mFlow by issuing the order. I will have the STV printed from the system, attach it with the pick list and file it for further reference (if needed). If not, I will find any needed information from mFlow at any time.
