Goals

Add barcode support within Stock Management

Background

Vaccines May 2017 Workshop Attendees: Ryan McWhorter (UNICEF), Dorthe Konradsen (UNICEF), Teresa Ha (UNICEF), Brandon Bowersox-Johnson (VillageReach), plus some attendees who joined on day 2 or 3.

OpenLMIS version 3.1.0 previously delivered an initial beta of stock management. See Stock Management for the detailed list of features.

Assumptions

OpenLMIS version 3 already supports GS1, GTIN and UNSPSC supply hierarchy. So this is already the correct foundation for later when an implementation wants to move towards barcode use.

Issuing and Receiving using barcode

Barcodes on issue vouchers for issuing and receiving

...I want to be able to pick stock as per issue voucher by using barcode (see existing text in wiki and photo) and receive using a barcode to bring up the expected quantities.

Stock location barcodes

Barcodes on stock locations (shelves, bins)

At intermediate levels, I want to use a barcode reader to select product locations (see existing test in wiki and photo)

This is only helpful at intermediate levels. The National level would have an ERP for this. This is also less important for vaccines compared to other products.
