Tech Debt

Postgres - This is a critical change. This should be a server-only change but we need to test and confirm this

• Current version is 9.6 which is no longer supported. We will be updating to version 12

• This was done for the Cameroon implementation. Script had to be changed to run properly on AWS. This work was led by Paulina and Pawel will follow up with her.

Angular EOL - Proposal to transition to React

• A lot of the work for React was already done for the mobile app

• Pawel is suggesting that we use React for the Lot Admin page

• Might be able to upgrade Angular to React on base UI component

React Templating

• Wes - Is this tech debt?

• Pawel - This will help us not incur more tech debt

Out of Date Dependencies

• This could take a whole release cycle to complete and will require breaking changes

• These changes tend to be connected and so they cannot be easily isolated

Suggestion

• Update dependencies at the start of each release

  • More frequent updates are much easier to implement and less likely to cause breaking changes
