  • Shared understanding of the narrative and design for the 3.0 beta features
  • Review state of affairs (are the current process, communication, velocity) and identify strategies/approaches to address any issues/challenges
  • Size the backlog

Activities:

  • Overview and big picture (put context around 3.0)
  • Size remaining backlog (key part is overview of remaining pieces)
    • Review and dive into details around user mapping (needs to be built and ready before)
  • Sprint planning and showcase together
  • Co-work (problem solve - discuss a design decision or something to work together)
  • Review relevant risks and make joint mitigation strategies
  • Get to know each other (fun time)
  • Potentially look at the broader roadmap
  • Specific topics to address throughout the week:
    • Talk through documentation (readthedocs) together
    • Discussion around 'taking new tickets' and picking up work. Building culture around asking questions and confirming understanding prior to starting on work.
    • UI working session (workplan discussion, decide which parts to work on first and triage)
