Global Product Committee Update

Meeting Notes: Global - February 18 2020

3.10 Feature Priorities

Wesley Brown (15 min)

Feature Backlog: Feature Backlog

Dercio: Perhaps not 3.10 but in the future

  • More configurability for the R&R template to be able to match existing forms
  • Currently, columns can be edited but the overall layout cannot be changed
  • DHIS2 may do something like this and we might want to review their solution
  • Likely with a link to the Program Data

Sachin: Offline Stock Management - How does it work?

  • Can we receive and issue stock while offline? These are the two key transactions that would be critical.
  • Dercio - How many problems can this generate in the future?
  • Sebastian - We would likely need to the ability to edit stock movements to deal with inconsistencies because of offline support. The SM already deals with going into the negative.
  • Wes - What is the use-case for this offline support?
  • Sachin - Previous stock status is already in the system (cached) and adjustments can be made against that data. Allows more realtime use of the system, more transactional.
  • Wes - Receiving is complicated by the POD (would not be present offline). Issuing is easier as it would just affect local stock (though multiple workstations could cause issues)
  • Sachin - Use a Document ID (or other number) to limit double-entry of data
  • Wes - Are there other priorities for offline support?
  • Dercio - Add adjustments as a critical feature as well

Sebastian: Could work on offline support on a per-page basis. Each page would likely take less effort.

Brian: Traceability in SM on the unit level, BARCODES!

  • Sachin - Support for GS1 standards for pharma

Sachin: What about an Android app?

  • Wes - SIGLUS and OpenSRP, but no planned development
  • Sachin - Review mSupply app

Next PC meeting: Topic ideas??
