SIGLUS Application DemoDianna Lourenco (20 min)

Originally developed in 2015 by CHAI, used at the health facility level

Use just for facility warehouses, not patient-level

Currently in 1047 facilities (67% of the country!)

SIGLUS is an Android mobile application

  • Tablet cheaper than laptop/desktop
  • Easier to secure physical device from walking away
  • User friendly

Functions:

  • Stock mgmt
    • Converts to a Requisition for re-supply workflow
    • FEFO
    • Protects against issuing expired
    • Supports counts by lot+expiry
    • Facilities can add lots
    • Alerts on low, over, under stocked
    • Automatic data sync when going online
  • Requisition
    • phys inv before requisition
    • All programs are combined into one Requisition (and so Stock Mgmt isn't broken down by Program)
      • Programs are reflected in the other reports (AL), where you would enter in more information about (the use) of those same products
        • The app is used in the warehouse of the HF (stock room).  Whereas the other report captures what was used, how many they had, etc across the health facility (more than just the warehouse of the health facility).
    • Largely a stock-based requisition with columns focused on inventory
    • Has approval in-app on tablet
      • Country hasn't removed the paper-based requisition, and so the paper is the official approval
      • 2 levels:
        • In facility by director
        • By Supplier in another system, electronically
  • MMIA
    • Informed push ARV
    • stock-card in aggregate (counts of issues, entries, etc)
    • ARV has drug regimens
  • PTV
    • Not used, very similar to MMIA (ARV)
  • Kits
    • Treated as products, has stock cards
    • Supports unpacking the kit
    • Main way facilities are supplied with products
    • Supports entering the qty actually in the kit vs expected
    • Unpacking of a Kit allows you to enter the lot+expiry, and it uses what you have in your stock card to help you fill those in.
  • Rapid Tests
    • Consumption at HF and PoC
    • How many tests lost
  • Patient counts by ARV, AL and Rapid Tests
  • Includes EML
  • COVID?
    • Already managed in-app, as any product that goes to HF is just one more product in master-data.
  • Web-side has reporting
    • Tracer
    • Aggregate stock cards
    • Exports
    • and more

COVID-19 Project with CHAI

Wesley BrownGaurav Bhattacharya (Unlicensed) (10 min)

New project collaborating with CHAI: to manage the logistics behind COVID19 response

If you are interested in possibly using the OpenLMIS COVID tool, reach out to Wes or Rebecca. Some implementation costs are covered by CHAI

  • May cover more in next call (ran out of time)
    • Demo
  • Ongoing training right now
  • Improving reporting stack as part of it
  • COVID response has taken priority over regular release cycle, may skip this quarter's release, would try to incorporate the stock mgmt improvements in the next quarter.

Version 3.10 Feature Priorities
