Delay between clicking Convert to order button and the loading icon

Description

When I am on convert to order page, I choose order with properly supply line and then I click on „Convert to order button” and "Ok" button on confirmation modal and nothing is showing. I had time to click „Convert to order” button again and again confirmation modal appeared.
After a while loading icon shows and notification.

Acceptance criteria:

  • loading icon should show up immediately after clicking on convert to order button

  • notification should show up immediately after the loading icon is hidden

  • user should not be able to click convert to order button second time

There is only one section in the UI that shouldn't get immediately replaced by a loading modal — and that is currently the login screen.

We can talk about building a more complex structure, but I don't want to require implementers to add the same loading pattern all over the place for displaying icons in specific places.

I think we need to think carefully about how to prevent double-clicking an action button. Please review all 3 ideas in Acceptance Criteria. Another alternative, besides the 3 ideas in A.C., is to have an action button, once clicked, become disabled or get a spinner on it so users know it is in progress.
