, Not currently no. There might be a need for a similar column for TBp program. But the TB program would like to capture "Number of patients", as a number. Not to affect the quantity to order.

From meeting with TZ (Alfred, Alpha, Hassan, Ashraf and Elias) on 07/13/2018:
The additional quantity required for new patients is a must have functionality for ARV program.
SOD should also be available for ARV template.
When this additional column is configured in a template, the calcuation of adjusted consumption should be changed to "Total consumed quantity after adjusting for stockout days" + "Additional quantity required for new patients"
Additional quantity required for new patients is not a required field. That means it can be configured in some templates but not in others. It is only used in the ARV program in TZ.
The eLMIS redesign in TZ also includes this column.
The "round up" rounding rule in the adjusted consumption implementation is still okay in TZ. no need to change that functionality.

, My initial response is to implement it with adjusted consumption so if an implementation displays "quantity required for new patients" it will impact the calculation of adjusted consumption. It would be useful to hear what others in Zambia and TZ say.
, do you know if Malawi will want to leverage such a new column as "quantity required for new patients" and it would impact the adjusted consumption which in turn informs the Calculated Order Amount?

A translated version of Tanzania ARV Requisition contains two columns that currently do not exist in OpenLMIS v3. The translations have also been confirmed by Hassan Husien Matoto.
Quantity required for new patients
Projected consumption.
Projected consumption is calculated by adding quantity dispensed + quantity required for new patients. This has been in production use for ARV program in Tanzania and Zanzibar.
Notably, Stockout days is not visible for this configuration of R&R.
Open Questions:
Is projected consumption the same as adjusted consumption? should we implement it as adjusted consumption? or should we implement it as a separate new column?
Given Tanzania’s interest to change from quarterly reporting and fulfillment to a monthly reporting, is this requirement still valid?

As a store in charge initiating a requisition, I need to be able to fill in the “additional quantity needed” on the R&R form so that, the additional drugs needed for next period are considered on requested quantity calculation for next period.
This column will allow the requisition submitter to calculate the order quantity needed for new patients using their own formula that can include different doses for different types of patients. This also allows the requisition initiator to account for other factors using their own judgement like the season, and if they cannot get fulfilled in the next 3 months, they may be able to include their own additional quantity.
Acceptance Criteria:
Requisition can be configured to add column “additional quantity needed” on the R&R form
Quantity Requested calculation is taking into account the additional quantity needed
Note:
Some of the feature for new patient already exists in OpenLMIS 3.3
Through this ticket features and underlying calculations will be compared and if any gap is found those will be filled
