Investigate browser cache issue

Description

Clearing browser cache is required for certain actions what is not convenient for users and is causing problems and confusion.

For example:

  • In SELV (Moz), when adding new facilities, users have to clear their cache for the new facilities to be visible

  • When new reports (Jasper) are created, either the old report is used or 404 error

  • Updating valid sources and destinations

  • Login as one user and after switching account to another the previous user tabs are visible

 

We need to investigate why this is happening and how we can prevent that.

One of the ideas is to add the process of clearing cache when user is logging in and there were any updates that might cause the above problems.

Here in this document that I mentioned below there are some explanation why some points doesn’t work . Together with we wrote some conclusions about those points.

In 5th point you should find a summary for the issue and some ready repair recipe for fixing some of them. . Thanks to this summary points you can easily later create separate tickets related to this epic related to improving cache management.

The only thing need to be investigated is 'jasper' issue. But I leave this topic for the person who is the most familiar with Jasper technology.

there is an problem with identifying the Jasper issue, and whether it is possible to contact with someone that reported it so that they would provide the exact steps.
