Analyzing Disk Use

A variety of tools are available to determine which files and folders use the most space on your computer. Windows users may use WizTree, which looks as follows:

To download and run WizTree, visit this site, click “Download Portable,” and unzip the file. You will be left with a directory which looks as follows:

Right-click “WizTree64.exe,” and choose “Run as administrator.”

To then scan the selected hard drive, simply press “Scan.”

WizTree is a fairly intuitive tool with which users are encouraged to experiment.
