Goals/Scope
- This functionality ensures subnational coverage data—doses delivered to the target population--can be recorded and monitored in the tool.
- The goals of the coverage and wastage rate requirements are to
collect information on the wastage rates of vaccines by dose and coverage of child and adult populations by dose so that vaccinators and storeroom managers can understand how much product is being used effectively and/or wasted at their facility for a given period of time.Copied from SELV Stock Management Wastage and Coverage requirements. Background
WHO considers immunization coverage a key measure of immunization system performance. WHO has documented more details on the vaccine coverage administration and potential biases in calculations at the global level.
Country-specific processes, approvals, and timelines vary.

- Data on coverage rates is collected and sent from the facility
- The calculations for catchment populations are already determined.
