September Community MeetingAll
  • See meeting planning page
  • Duration: Planning for 3 days but may extend based on agenda
  • Structure of the Meeting:
      • Based on how many attendees are planned from each org, it may or may not make sense to have a separate technical/governance track. Based on the available attendee list and prioritized agenda, group will decide a) will the agenda include technical topics, or is this just a community governance meeting? (group is leaning toward having technical topics included) b) will there be technical/governance break-outs, or will all sessions be in parallel
      • Post-meeting, Karl emailed me to say that tech reps from ThoughtWorks will not be able to make the September meeting
  • Agenda preparation. Team to work together using the following process to plan for the meeting:
    • collect bucket of potential agenda items, using starter list as a baseline
    • Individual input on:
      • prioritizing potential agenda items
      • should this item be on plenary or governance/technical track
      • are you willing to lead a session on this topic
    • VR to create a draft agenda and circulate for review and comments
    • Draft blurb for each session and identify leader

  • Meeting dates and duration to be finalized by September 4th

OpenLMIS Communications Messaging

Sarah/

Melissa

  • OpenLMIS Community Announcement?
    • VR would like to send out a communique on what is happening in the OpenLMIS Community and how to get involved
    • Ideas on format, what content would be useful to this group?
      • Blog, website, social media, side session at conferences (multiple formats)
      • Have recorded audio and video, powerpoint of community meetings available on wiki/web -> this becomes the communication materials
      • Leverage open source for global health communities, cross-linking
      • Updated overview documented and functionality list would be useful – Update OpenLMIS Feature Guide + Roadmap
  • Key Messages Meeting in advance of the September meeting?
    • No - possibly could be a break-out session at the September meeting
    • VR to determine next steps on broader community message and circulate with group via email
