Changes:

  • Combined the governance OpenLMIS within the larger HIS ecosystem: What is OpenLMIS? What is not OpenLMIS? session with the technical Shared OpenLMIS Technical Vision into a Plenary What is and what is not core to OpenLMIS? session.
  • Strategies for OpenLMIS Community Growth: Country Engagement & Implementation Partner Capacity Building includes discussion of what support and resources do partners need from the OpenLMIS community in order to implement with success. Dykki will discuss various support models that have worked for other communities. 
  • Exploring governance models: roles, responsibilities/authority, decision making process, communication mechanisms/frequency session will involve a discussion of roles in the OpenLMIS community.
  • Strategies for OpenLMIS Community Growth: Funders & Private Sector will discuss funding and interest from funders, including a discussion of post-BMGF grant funding, and a tentative budget.
  • Re-ordered the OpenLMIS Roadmap and OpenLMIS 1-year Roadmap so that they are on day 1 and day 2 respectively. The long term roadmap will precede the 1 year road map, which will focus on the prioritization and support of projects over the coming year.
  • Rich Magnuson will facilitate the Current State Technical Evaluation.

Developing a business plan to keep the OpenLMIS as a viable 501(C) entity

Architecture:

    1. Making the OpenLMIS architecture extensible through add-on module concepts
    2. The end of forks
    3. OpenLMIS rearchitecture, potential move to a domain driven design
    4. High-level plan for migrating existing deployments to new architecture

Collaborative development mechanisms

    1. Solution-process to "enable new developers to create content via core development, code reviews and documentation."

Technical governance

Ecosystem-plans to "promote consistent information definitions and interoperability between HIS systems."
