Notes

Rich Magnuson (Deactivated) to Jeff Xiong (Unlicensed):  is there any plan to keep 2.0-moz following OpenLMIS upstream?  Jeff Xiong (Unlicensed) said that yes to follow `master`, though depends on the release cycle, timing, etc...

2.0 progress

Rich Magnuson (Deactivated) updates on VR doing testing on 2.0 and finding and fixing bugs.  There are some some outstanding infrastructure needs that are currently off to the side as we wanted to get to basic smoke testing and fixing of major bugs.  We have a test server that we're using internally for this.  We'd like to get coverage and major bug fixes done by next week.

Q:  any sort of gates or thresholds we want to meet before a 2.0 release?

Rich Magnuson (Deactivated) says no major bugs should be released. Cosmetic or easy work-arounds shouldn't be a blocker.  Examples of major bugs:  CRUD type operations on Regimens weren't working.  Some problems with offline capability.

No dissent to this approach.

On timing:  Rich Magnuson (Deactivated) says we will see where we are at the end of the week.  Then we will need to push to master.

On quality gate:  Jeff Xiong (Unlicensed) suggested not designing a go or no-go quality gate at this time, but rather to compile our test metrics and publish them as a point in time for the release.

Webinar

Jeff Xiong (Unlicensed) did participate in webinar and is concerned about the 3.0 migration path regardless of rewrite or incremental.  It's still unclear how existing deployments would be upgradeable.  Asks if there are any new details from VR's side.  Rich Magnuson (Deactivated) replies that he doesn't have anything new and it's a bit unclear however it seems clear that there will likely be a need for other funding for upgrade if at the very least it may just be data migration.

Jeff Xiong (Unlicensed) asks if there is more on re-write v. incremental

Rich Magnuson (Deactivated) replies that there's not a lot, there is a concept note, there is further discussions with various partners.  Not sure what exactly is going to go into the future decision.

Jeff Xiong (Unlicensed) also says they might be implementing with CHAI Uganda, might be starting in a month and states that 2.0 should be what we start from.  They intend to re-use as much as possible what was built for CHAI Moz - focused on mobile.  TW is doing analysis now.
