Feature Backlog

This page contains a list of the major features and tasks that can potentially be included in upcoming OpenLMIS releases. This list will be kept up to date as new features are discussed and prioritized, most often as part of the Product Committee activities. If there are features that you would like to see added to this list please contact one of the OpenLMIS stewards or bring it up as a topic for discussion on the Product Committee.

2021 Feedback

• COVID-Related Features (from CHAI)

  • Equipment management

  • Setting up special supply chains that do not follow routine distribution and approval workflows

  • Consuming lab commodities e.g. gloves along with tests, etc.

• Potential Nigeria Features/Changes (from CHAI)

  • Request for “Temperature” to be added in the Receive/issue form

  • For physical inventory, it was requested that entries were linked to the various storage locations (Cold Storage Facilities) across all levels – National, States & LGA

  • During Issuing, the storage facility should also be identified.

2019 Implementers Meeting Feedback

• Knowledge sharing around Stock Management feature

• Future expansion of Stock Management

  • More interaction with other ERP/Warehouse systems

  • GS1 (+1, barcodes!)

• Everyone wants better offline use (esp. In Stock Management)

• Expansion to more mobile options is desired (esp. for distributions) 

  • This could involve SIGLUS or OpenSRP (+1, MZ could benefit from this as well) 

  • Angola (through Dercio) expressed an interest in being able to utilize SIGLUS

• OpenLMIS-OpenHIE integration

  • FHIR

• Extend into patient-level tracking through OpenSRP or OpenMRS

• Expand/enhance reports

  • UI Improvement

  • Stock Management Reports

  • Technical/Deployment Improvements

• Configuration Improvements

  • Simply for quick-setup in certain verticals (+2, currently a painful process)

  • Add visualizations for WYSIWIG config and easier validation
