How-To: Access SELV while in Offline mode

You will want to access SELV in offline mode if you do not want to be connected to the Internet but still wish to view or record data for initiated distributions. For more information on offline mode, see What can I do in offline mode?

Note: Accessing SELV in offline mode is only possible if:

  1. You did NOT log out during your previous SELV session. (See How-To: Log out.)
  2. You have not cleared the cache since your last session. (See How-To: Clear the cache (Chrome).) 

Step-by-step guide

Accessing SELV in Offline Mode

  1. Make sure you are not connected to the Internet.
  2. Open Chrome web browser.
  3. Go to http://selv.villagereach.org. 
  4. Even though you are not connected to the Internet, the browser should bring up the cached SELV homepage. You do not need to log in.
  5. Continue to 3. How-To: Record data to begin inputting data for initiated distributions while in offline mode. If you wish to switch to online mode, see How-To: Go into online mode.

 

Tips and Tricks:

If you are attempting to navigate to the SELV homepage through a saved bookmark and your browser will not open the page while in offline mode, try typing this URL directly into the navigation bar instead.
