Goals/Scope

Focuses on some of the reports and analysis reports that Tanzania users highlighted as most useful:

  • The Reporting Rate report, which is used to follow up on non-reporting facilities and allows users to send emails and SMS reminders.
  • The Timeliness in Reporting report, which is used to follow up on non-reporting and late reporting facilities and prioritise facilities in need of support or supervision.
  • The Non Reporting Facilities report, which is used to follow up on non-reporting facilities and prioritise facilities in need of support or supervision.

Background

Reporting Rate Report

This report is used to follow up on non-reporting facilities.  Clicking on a district brings up the screen allowing sending of email or SMS reminders. (screenshot below in diagrams)

Use:


Parameters:

  • program

  • period (which can be an A / B / C quarter period)

For a selected program and period and for each district, it shows:

  • number of facilities expected to report

  • number of facilities reported this period

  • number of facilities ever reported

  • total number of facilities in the district.

It also displays a map of districts with a ratio for each district.  The ratios can be:

  • reported during period / expected facilities

  • ever reported / total facilities

  • ever reported / expected to report

When hovering the mouse over any district, all four figures appear.


Timeliness in Reporting report

Use:

  • Mainly used district supervisor and up for supervision and follow up
  • Occasionally a facility level user may want to if there are issues with the order/shipment

This report is used to follow up on non-reporting and late-reporting facilities and prioritise facilities in need of support or supervision. (screenshot below in diagrams)

Parameters:

  • program

  • period (which can be an A / B / C quarter period)

  • geographic filter which can be entire country or a subset

For a selected program and period and for each district, it shows:

  • number of facilities expected to report

  • number of facilities reporting on time (based on the time the R&R is authorised in eLMIS being before the 22nd of the month) - date and status cut off for on time, late, and non-reporting should be configurable.

  • number of facilities reporting late (reporting between 22nd of month and end of month)

  • number of unscheduled reporters (reporting after the end of the month)

  • percentage of expected facilities who reported on time


Non Reporting Facility Report 

Purpose: This report is used to follow up on non-reporting facilities and prioritise facilities in need of support or supervision. (screenshot below in diagrams)

For a selected program and period, it shows a list of non-reporting facilities, including:

  • Facility code
  • name
  • type
  • district

It also displays a graph showing the number of non-reporting facilities as a percentage of the expected facilities.

Parameters:

  • program

  • period (which can be an A / B / C quarter period)

  • geographic filter which can be entire country or a subset



In addition, features to export into DHIS and into other software, are important for further analysis.

  • In this story user means or one of the following, Health Facility incharge, DMO, Community and Regional Management Team (C/RHMT), Logistics officer/Advisors, Senior level decision maker, M&E officer/Advisor etc
