Status in eLMIS: Implemented.
Status in OpenLMIS: Not implemented within OpenLMIS, can be created in Tableau
Priority: High priority for Tanzania, Zanzibar, Zambia
Background
Use:
- Provides visualization of stock status per geographic region with map to enable users a quick glance way of seeing stock status throughout the country (noted that this is important but stock imbalance report is number 1 priority)
- Stock status focused but includes reporting rates, (reports>stock keeping > stock status by location)
- Select program, schedule, year, period
- Includes total facilities, expected facilities, and how many reported
- Question regarding why total facilities are shown
- Over and understocked
- Based on R&R
- max/min stock based on storage, targeted MoS is generally by program (though can be per product)
- "Stocked out" - facility is counted as stocked out if they are stocked out of any commodity
- Map colors are gradient based on the aggregate status of all the facilities -
- Widely used - at the district level - especially the summary table and bar chart, for the province - they would look at the statuses for each district
- When a user looks at this report - what are they doing:
- 1 - stocked out and want to get stock from other people (redistribution)
- 2 - see stock level, if overstock don't want to expire, want to move
- 3 - M&E team routine supervision - especially the trends at the bottom, are some facilities having ongoing stock outs and that is an issue? Before supervision visits, to identify the facilities to visit, the needs there, and issues they are having to look into (look at this, reporting rate, and stock imbalances), and analysis to help address issues
- *Question re: would it be better to have the key data (3 reports mentioned for M&E) in one place? A: Maybe for M&E, maybe less so for other users
- A district/province/LMU manager - looking at birds-eye view to ensure your area overall doesn't have expiries - how to redistribute stock
- A facility based user is focused only on their facility - can look to see if they are at risk for stock outs or wastage - can see who else in district can transfer in/out
The district view shows:
- district name
- number of facilities expected to report
- number of facilities reported
- Number of facilities stocked out, overstocked, understocked and adequately stocked
- % stocked out
Product view shows:
- product name
- number of facilities reported
- Number of facilities stocked out, overstocked, understocked and adequately stocked
- % stocked out
- Checkbox ( to select product for trend analysis)
Parameters:
- program
- geographic zone
- period (which can be an A / B / C quarter period)
- Product
